The CETA High School Theatre Festival is California’s premier weekend celebration of secondary school theatre. Bringing together over a thousand students and educators from across the Southern California, this landmark event features full-scale mainstage productions, competitive performance categories, and masterclasses led by industry professionals. It is the ultimate showcase for student talent, offering high schoolers an inspiring space to learn, connect, and celebrate the transformative power of dramatic arts.

Adjudication
Every year between October and December, the California Educational Theatre Association adjudicates Fall productions at high schools in four areas in the Southern California Region- Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and San Diego Counties .

Weekend
In addition to Fall adjudications, the festival weekend offers a variety of opportunities that encourage artistic growth for both students and teachers. These offerings include workshops led by industry professionals, adjudicated scene competition, space for BIPOC students and educators, and scholarship opportunities. The three-day Festival showcases four MainStage plays selected from four regions of Southern California: Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego County.
